SCD Government College to hold Entrance Test for M.Com Business Innovations

Ludhiana,21 June 2011.



Post Graduate Department of Commerce S.C.D Government College Ludhiana, one of the premier Institutions of higher education in India, launched M.Com Business Innovations (UGC Innovative Programme) at its campus in order to cater to the needs and aspirations of the fast expanding fields of globalize industry and Management Sciences. M.Com Business Innovations is an Innovative Programme sponsored by the University Grants Commission and affiliated to Panjab University Chandigarh. As per the decision of the Vice Chancellor, Panjab University Chandigarh, S.C.D Government College Ludhiana will hold an Entrance Test for admission to the 40 seats of M.Com Business Innovations ( A UGC Innovative Programme) on 17th of July, 2011. While giving the details of the programme Principal of the College Mrs Jasbir Kaur Makkar told that Prospectus cum application form for the Entrance Test will be available form the college office from 27th June, 2011 and form can be submitted till 7th of July, 2011. She told that The Masters in Commerce (Business Innovations) programme is designed for students who want to broaden their knowledge of the business world through an interdisciplinary and an international perspective. After passing this course students will not only be eligible for teaching of commerce and management courses but also serve the purpose of Industry which requires efficient Human resources to manage different functional areas of management. Mrs Makkar told that M.Com Business innovations programme is two years Post Graduate degree programme spread in four semesters which is designed in consultation with the industry experts. She told that result of the Entrance test will be declared on 20th July 2011 and the counseling for admission will be done on 21st July, 2011. Mrs Makkar told that details about the programme have also be put on the college website for information of the general public.
