PAU HOLDS TRAINING ON “GROUP-LED-EXTENSION”

LUDHIANA, JUNE 23:-----



A two-day training course on "Group-Led-Extension," organized by the Directorate of Extension Education, PAU, commenced here today at Kiron Kisan Ghar. Giving the contours, Dr M.S. Gill, Director of Extension Education, PAU, said that the course involves the participation of 25 trainees including Agricultural Development Officers (ADOs), Horticultural Development Officers (HODs), District Extension Specialists (DESs) and Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Scientists. He added that PAU extension specialists will dwell on various aspects of the topic focusing on orientation, team building, a systematic approach, conflict management, capacity building for farmers' groups, stress management, programme planning and evaluation, participatory rural appraisal, sustainability for farmers' groups, feed back and back up action plan and communication skills.



Dr Gill informed that Dr (Mrs) R.K. Dhaliwal, Head, Department of Extension Education and Dr R.S. Uppal are the technical and course coordinators. The resource persons include Drs D.S. Dhillon, (Mrs) Prabhjot Kaur, (Mrs) T.K. Gill, C.S. Arneja, T.S. Riar, D.S. Ladhar and (Mrs) Kiran Sidhu.
