NSS wing of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University and NGOs play an important role in awaking people and inspire them to come forward for the help of poor and needy people. The best part is that not only male but female are coming forward and participating in this noble cause. NSS volunteers/students of GADVASU and NGOs members generously donate blood and saved many lives. Dr S. S. Hassan, NSS Programme Coordinator expressed that NSS unit of GADVASU is working very actively to create awareness in promoting blood donation camp and organize more and more blood donation camp in Ludhiana city. Mahant Ganga Puri Sarva Hitkari Seva Mandal, Ludhiana, Krishna Nagar Sudhar Sabha, Ludhiana and Prabhandhak Committee, Gurudwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha, Govind Nagar, Ludhiana and NSS unit of GADVASU is organising blood donation camp at Langar Bhawan, Gurudwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha, Govind Nagar, Ludhiana on 27/04/2013 (Saturday) from 10 am onward.
Anybody whose age is between 18 to 60 years and more than 45 kg weight having 12.5 gms haemoglobin count can donate blood but should not be empty stomach.
