LUDHIANA, APRIL 5:
A field day on "Chickpea" will be jointly organized by the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) and the Department of Agriculture, Punjab, on April 7 at village Maankhera of district Mansa. Dr J.S. Sandhu, Commissioner of Agriculture, Department of Agriculture, Government of India, will be the chief guest. Farmers in large number are expected to participate in the field day. Dr N.P. Singh, Project Coordinator (Chickpea), Indian Institute of Pulses Research, Kanpur, and other dignitaries of the PAU will interact with the farmers on various aspects of pulses and their role in crop diversification.
