46th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF UNITED CYCLE & PARTS MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION

46th Annual General Meeting of United Cycle & parts manufacturers Association was held on 19th August 2013 at regd. Office of Association under the President ship Of Sh. Gurmeet Singh Kular, president UCPMA.

Sh. Manjinder Singh Sachdeva, General Secretary of the association welcomed to all the dignitaries and respected members. S. Harcharan Singh Gohalwaria Mayor Ludhiana was the Chief Guest and S. Hira Singh Gabria was the Guest of honour.

Among others Sh. O.P Munjal, Sh. Onkar Singh Pahwa, Sh. Lalit Sharma, Sh. Manjit Singh Khalsa, Sh. Kamalinder Kumar Singla,Sh. Rajan Gupta , Sh. Ravi Mahajan, Sh. K.K Seth, Sh. Sanjeev Pahwa CMD Ralson, Sh. Joginder Kumar ji, Sh. Parveen Kumar Gupta, Sh. D.S Chawla, Sh. Charanjit Singh Vishivkarma, Sh. G.L Pahwa, Sh. Manmohan Singh Matron were present on the dais along with the office bearers.

First of all 45th Annual General Meeting minutes were read out by the General Secretary and were approved by the house unanimously.

Annual Financial balance sheet for the year 2012-13 was read out and was approved by the General house.

Sh. Gurmeet Singh Kular told to the house about the main achievements of the Association given below:

1. Vat refund were got disbursed to the members worth Rs. 45 crore on recommendation of UCPMA. (83 refunds & 67 Units)

2. PSPCL withdrew rebate of 7.5% w.e.f 2010 but with the representation of UCPMA this rebate was again sanctioned.

3. Stamp duty worth Rs. 56 Lac was not charged from M/s. Gurdip Cycle Industries on the recommendation of the President of UCPMA from the office of the District collector.

4. Exemption of SAC (Site Appraisal Committee) approved in designated and industrial Zone area on the recommendation of the UCPMA.

5. Subsidy worth Rs. 32, 49,246.00 was disbursed by UCPMA for National and International Exhibitions. Subsidy worth Rs. 19, 23,350 is sanctioned form MSME Delhi and will be disbursed shortly.

6. Visit arrange of Principal Secretary, Sh. Karan Avtar Singh, IAS to left over areas of Mix Land Use, resulting in recommendation of these areas to secretary urban development, Puda to include these areas in the Master Plan.

7. Recommendation of 33% areas of the Factory at Focal Points be used as residential for Labour which has been sent for approval to the Board of Directors PSIEC.

8. In order to save Micro and Small Industries recommendation to the Prime Minister and Finance Minister was made regarding import of Bicycle & Bicycle Parts which resulted in increase of excise duty from 16 % to 30%.

9. Recovery of Land cost enhancement from the allottee of Phase-VIII, Focal Point from Rs. 222 PSY to Rs. 24 PSY for Industrial Plots.

10. Zoning Certificate by Charted Engineer instead of Director of Factories.

11. Wave off late payment fee by PPCB which was charges 2 /3 times for gross block undepriciated value of fixed assets within financial year.

12. Establishment of Bicycle Research and Development Organization (BRADO)

13. Approval of Rs. 45 crore from UNIDO for the technology Upgradation of bicycle & bicycle parts industries.

14. Minimum Wages : Addition of H.R.A in Minimum Wages

2. M/S. SETH INDUSTRIAL CORPORATION – LARGEST IN HOUSE MANUFACTURERS OF 8 MAJOR BICYCLE PARTS.



Various draws were drawn from time to time in the meeting with first prize of Samsung Galaxy s4, second prize of Laptop, 3rd prize of Refrigerator, 4th prize of Micro oven were presented to various winners in the AGM.

Ist Prize Samsung Galaxy s4 sponsored by M/s. Avon Cycles Limited was given to M/s. Sharma Bikes vide token no 560.

3rd Prize of Refrigerator sponsored by M/s. S.K Bikes Pvt Ltd was given to M/s. Radha Enterprises vide token no 456.

4th Prize Microwave Oven sponsored by M/s. Big- Ben Exports was given to M/s. Sohal Industries (India) vide token no 234.

S. Hira Singh Gabria Chairman District Planning Board and S. Harcharan Singh Gohalwaria also expressed their views regarding the bicycle industry and assured the house that they will leave no stone unturned to overcome the difficulties faced by the cycle industries. They also congratulated the president along with the team for holding such a peaceful AGM. Both were honoured by presenting momentous by the Office Bearers along with all the High Dignitaries.

Meeting ended with a vote of thanks by Sh. Inderjit Singh Navyug, Sr. Vice President and requested to stay for Lunch.
