Holiday Inn Mumbai International Airport to open on April 1, 2010

Holiday Inn Mumbai International Airport is scheduled to open on April 1, 2010. The 225-rooms property is owned by Shell Inn International Pvt. Ltd. and will be managed by InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG's) brand Holiday Inn. The upcoming hotel is part of the worldwide effort by Holiday Inn Hotels & Resorts to create a new identity and establish new brand hallmarks that will deliver a more consistent quality and contemporary image for the brand. Besides, Holiday Inn Mumbai International Airport will be a part of a global re-launch for Holiday Inn.



Harry Thaliwal, General Manager, Holiday Inn Mumbai International Airport said, "Our hotel is a business hotel. Being an international brand we believe in offering business class product and provide more variety to our customers. The hotel is in close proximity to domestic and international airports, which will be advantageous for us. Being surrounded by corporate park, commercial buildings and residents we believe that 40 per cent of the total sales will come from F&B segment and 60 per cent from room sales. To start with, we are expecting room occupancy of 55 per cent."



In the first phase, 173-rooms will be operational. However, the remaining rooms will be operational in the second phase. As part of F&B offerings, the hotel will have an all day dinning restaurant 'Saptami' (a unique seven interactive live stations) with 103 covers, lobby bar '72', speciality restaurant 'Road House' with 120 covers and 'Saptami Express' which will offer cakes, pastries, sandwiches and coffee. Other facilities include rooftop infinity pool, spa and health club, executive lounge, business centre and 3,500 sq ft ballroom which can be divided into three equal parts for smaller functions. The promotional tariff for the rooms will be Rs 6,999 (taxes extra). However, suites will be operational in the second phase. By June 2010 hotel will be fully operational.
