Masked men rob Ludhiana resident of Rs 13 lakh

LUDHIANA: Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Jodhan village was robbed of Rs 13 lakh on Pakhowal Road by four masked miscreants riding a jeep.



In his police complaint, Rakesh said he, along with his son Mudit Chabra withdrew Rs 13 lakh from Axis Bank near Phulanwal village and was going back to Jodhan village.



When they reached near the power grid station on Pakhowal road, a white jeep without a number plate intercepted their car.



The men got down of the car and snatched the cash bag from him. Thereafter, they threatened him and went away.



The victim told the police that the Bolero had no number plates and had a VIP sticker pasted on it. Besides, he said all the accused had their faces covered. \"We have registered a case against the four unidentified accused on the complaint of the victim, Rakesh Kumar.



A hunt is on for the accused and an alert has been issued in accordance with the description of the vehicle across the state. I am sure we will be able to nab the accused very soon,\" said station house officer, Sadar Police station, sub-inspector Aman Brar.
