New Delhi: In the current 'Bigg Boss' season, Tanishaa Mukherji is one such name who has come as a surprise to one and all. Coming from an affluent family from the entertainment industry, it was least expected from her to feature in the reality show.
One cannot forget the numerous reports on how Kajol along with her mother Tanuja and husband Ajay Devgn tried to persuade Tanishaa to quit the idea of joining the show. In the recent episode of the show, 'Bigg Boss' treated the homesick housemates with a message or gifts from their family members (keeping in mind the festive occasion).
However, it was unexpected to see Tanishaa not receiving any gift or message from her family on the occasion of Diwali.
Talking to a tabloid, a crew member of the show said: "It was an activity which we had planned for all the contestants as they have been away from their family for long. Most of them are missing their parents, partners and kids. So on the occasion of Diwali we decided to send comedian Bharti Singh to surprise the inmates with gifts and messages from their family members."
"The production team started approaching family members of the contestants to give some kind of gift or message for their family members inside the house. Tanishaa's family, however, did not get back with anything. Tanishaa's mother Tanuja and her sister Kajol apparently ignored the production house's request and chose not to respond. So Tanishaa did not receive anything in the special episode. She was upset but she preferred not to display any emotion in front of the cameras," the source added.
On the other hand, Kajol's spokesperson had a different story to say. The spokesperson revealed that show makers didn't contact their family for any gifts.
