NEW DELHI: The BCCI may have taken a dim view on the exposures made by IS Bindra, but it\'s unlikely that a harsh disciplinary action will be taken against him as the former president holds no official position in the board.
\"There is no truth in what is being reported about the board expelling Bindra. There is no move to ban him as he holds no position in the BCCI. One can only be expelled or reprimanded if he\'s in the board in some official capacity,\" the official said.
The outspoken 72-year-old, who is the president of the Punjab Cricket Association, had leaked sensitive documents on Twitter which implied that N Srinivasan, BCCI\'s president in exile, had caused the board a loss of Rs 10,000 crore.
Bindra\'s outburst only gave rise to speculation that the BCCI will expel him. But the BCCI official ruled out the possibility.
