Kolkata homemaker Mithu Chakraborty was crowned winner of dance reality show Dance India Dance Super Moms in a glittering ceremony on September 8.
The 34-year-old amateur dancer, who learnt Bharatnatyam for a while, managed to impress the judges and win the hearts of the audience.
Mithu walked away with a cast prize of ` 10 lakh when she defeated several strong contenders such as Cecille Rodrigues from Goa, Shradha Shah from Surat and Phulwa Khamkar from Mumbai.
Bollywood star Sonakshi Sinha presented the trophy to Mithu in the presence of veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty, Grand Master of the show.
\"I performed on the stage after 17 years, which was a challenge. I managed to lose weight and gain a lot of confidence,\" said Mithu, mother of two boys aged four and 12.
