Names of BJP, TDP MPs removed from list of those who disrupted RS

New Delhi: In a big win for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the names of 20 of its MPs were withdrawn from the list of those who disrupted the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday. The list had the names of two TDP MPs and they have been also been now withdrawn.

The BJP had walked out of the Rajya Sabha on Thursday, saying it was wrongly blamed for disrupting the House in Wednesday bulletin that had listed 22 MPs. The party alleged that Congress MPs were responsible for the disruption.

After the walkout, BJP MPs said that they would continue to boycott the Rajya Sabha until the parliamentary bulletin naming its members for trooping into the Well of the House protesting Defence Minister AK Antony\'s statement on LoC killings is withdrawn.

\"Unless the notice of names is not withdrawn, there is no question of going to the House. We will continue the protest,\" said BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu outside Parliament.

The Parliament bulletin has named 20 BJP MPs and two TDP MPs for \"disorderly conduct in violation of rules and etiquettes of the Rajya Sabha and wilfully obstructing the proceedings of the House.\"

Rajya Sabha was adjourned repeatedly after vociferous protests from BJP and TDP members over naming of their party colleagues in the House bulletin for disrupting proceedings.
