Independence Day was celebrated at Govt. College for Girls, Ludhiana . The worthy Principal of the college Mrs. Gurminder Kaur and Vice Principal Mrs. Sudarshan Mehta hoisted National Flag in College Campus on this occasion.

On this precious occasion of 67th year of independence the principal Mrs. Gurminder Kaur stated that we all are proud of the independent India and that she see India's shining future in her students. She also mentioned that in near future the students from this college are going to make their nation and their college proud by achieving in various fields. She propounded her views on not forgetting the contributions of all the freedom fighters. She also mentioned that it is just due to their sacrifice that we are breathing in the independent air of India. All the teaching, Non–teaching and class IV employees and students of NSS & Hostel also participated . The sweets were disseminated at the end of the function.
