A delegation of United Cycle & Parts Manufacturers Association had a meeting with Sh. Rachpal Singh, Chief Engineer PSPCL, Central Zone Ludhiana under the leadership of Sh. Gurmeet Singh Kular, President UCPMA on dated 02.08.2013. first of all Sh. Gurmeet Singh Kular President welcomed the New Chief Engineer Central Zone Sh. Rachpal Singh by presenting a bouquet. He was apprised of the of the problems regarding Power cut imposed to the tune of 96 hours and 72 hours on the industry which have created hue and cry and production have become almost stand still, with the result the industry is not only effected but also the labour's have to face problems. With these cuts the industry is being trying to save themselves who is already striving for their survival in the global market.

Sh. Gurmeet Singh Kular President UCPMA suggested that the power cut should be imposed in a chain wise but the cuts imposed present are staggered. It was brought to the notice Chief Engineer that if an unit has his two unit in same location i.e. Focal Point, Industrial Zone etc., he has to face problems as in one the cut is for first three days of the week and another unit, the cut is for the last three days, with the result both the units face problems for the production and are unable to full fill their order in time. We humbly request your goodself that our request explained above should be acceded too so that the industry have sigh of relief to some extent.

He was requested that in the weekly off days the industry may be allowed to use at least 50% of their connected load or to restrict the units up to 50% on average basis of consumption so that the industry may remain working and production should not be stopped in these days and lobour may not feel any difficulties for their livelihood.

In the delegation following members were present Sh. K.K Seth, Sh. Baljit Singh Lotey, Joint Secretary, Sh. Harpal Singh Bhamber, Sh. Rajnish Gupta and Sh. Jagatvir Singh.
