PAU TO HOLD TRAINING COURSE AND KISAN CLUB MEET

LUDHIANA, JULY 1:



The Directorate of Extension Education of the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) will be organizing a training course on "Operation, Adjustments and Maintenance of Farm Machinery" for the farmers and the farm women on July 2 and 3 at Kairon Kisan Ghar of the University.



Giving contours, Dr M.S. Gill, Director of Extension Education, said that the trainees will be imparted theoretical as well as practical training in repair and maintenance of tractor's fuel system, cooling system, power transmission system, and battery and electrical maintenance systems. Besides, the PAU farm engineering experts will apprise the trainees of the repair and maintenance of farm machinery like laser land leveller, rotavator, seed drills, planters, and precision machinery, he added. The registration for the course will be held on July 2 at 9.00.a.m. at Kairon Kisan Ghar of PAU.



Meanwhile, the monthly training camp for the members of PAU Kisan Club will be held on July 4 at Dr Borlaug Wheat Auditorium of the University, informed Dr Gill. During the camp, the farm experts will lay special emphasis on insect pest and weed management in paddy, cultivation of fruit crops, scope of agro-forestry in Punjab. Apart from this, useful tips for group marketing and skin care in rainy season will be provided to the trainees, he told. The experts will also share their experiences of their scientific interaction with the delegation of Nuffield Farming Australian Scholars, which visited the PAU Kisan Club recently, he said. The registration for the course will be held on July 4 at 9.00.a.m. at Dr Borlaug Wheat Auditorium of PAU.
