A delegation of United Cycle & Parts Manufacturers Association met Sh. Maheshinder Singh Grewal, Chief Advisor to Hon'ble Chief Minister S. Prakash Singh Badal under the leadership of S. Gurmeet Singh Kular, President UCPMA to discuss the problems faced by the industry specially E-tripping and Vat refund.

He was apprised of the notification issued by the Excise & Taxation department regarding the filling of E-tripping by the industry to enter their sale and purchase more than Rs. 50000.00 on the website of excise & taxation department which has been made mediatory for them. In doing so the department has put an additional burden on the industry to collect revenue for the government which is totally against the interest of the industry.



To save the industry which is already facing crises for want of working capital lying dumped in shape of vat refund, this notification should be rolled back, requested S. Gurmeet Singh Kular.



Secondly he was appraised about the fourth stage verification of Vat refund for which the department is creating hurdles for not releasing the vat refund which is against the act and is illegal. In the end it was requested that E-trip should be withdrawn so that the industry may have sigh of relief and procedure of vat refund may also be easy. He was requested to make arrangements for a meeting with the Hon'ble Chief Minister S. Parkash Singh Badal and Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister, S. Sukhbir Singh Badal on this issue at the earliest.



In the meeting following members were present: S. Harjit Singh Sondh, Vice President, S. Manjinder Singh Sachdeva, General Secretary, Sh. Baljit Singh Lotey, Joint Secretary, Sh. Achhru Ram Gupta Finance Secretary, Jagatvir Singh, Sh. Rajeev Jain and Sh. Harpal Singh Bhamber.
