A delegation of United Cycle & Parts Manufacturers Association had an opportunity to discuss traffic problems faced by the people in the city with Sh. Paramjeet Singh Gill, IPS, Police Commissioner Ludhiana on 10.07.2013 under the leadership of S. Gurmeet Singh Kular, President UCPMA.

He was handed over a memorandum in which difficulties regarding the industrial security, traffic problems and other problems faced by the industrialist as well as the peoples.

The main stress was given on night patrolling in the Industrial Area in which incidents of theft and snatching of their belongings specially the money because the labours's get their salary on between 7 to 10th of each month and also between 22 to 25th of the month when they get advance from the company.

The labour has to face a very critical situation when these people are being deprived of their one month earned hard labour. Sh. Paramjeet Singh Gill, IPS, Police Commissioner was very much impressed about the suggestion and assured that this problems will be solved by organising "Industrial Seminar" and also the strength of the patrolling parties will be increased .

Second point was regarding the choking / sensitive points like Bus Stand and Bharat Nagar Chowk where the traffic becomes ZAM and people had to wait for hours to reach their destination. It was suggested that in such points an alternative system, in addition to the present one we made so that people may have not to face any difficulty for reaching their destinations.

In addition to the above, it was suggested that Ludhiana being the hub of industry faces difficulty in traffic Jaam at Giaspura Chowk, Dholewal Chowk along with G.T Road. The Police Commissioner gave instruction to DCP, Sh. Harsh Bansal, IPS to look into the matter and difficulty be removed as early as possible.

In the last it was suggested that Ludhiana City Bus which has started recently should be made available Bus Shelters to stop their and not have the place where they stop at their own sweet will. More over their time of reaching and departure at these bus shelters should be made know to the people.

In the meeting the following were present: Sh. Harsh Bansal, IPS, DCP (Traffic ), Sh. Satbir Singh Atwal, PPS , ADCP (Focal Point), Sh. Bhupinder Singh Sidhu, PPS, ADCP, Sh. Jagatvir Singh of M/s. Ason Inds, Sh.Naresh Sareen of Steel Craft (India), Sh. Sukhdial Singh Basant of Rattan Hammers, Sh. Tejwinder Singh of Big-Ben Exports, Ravinder Arora, Sh. Jagdev Singh Kular etc.
