On the WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY, the United Cycle & Parts Manufacturers Association pays their heartfelt gratitude to the Chairman Punjab Pollution Control Board for granting exemption from Site Appraisal Committee (SAC) and for submitting plan duly approved by the Charted Engineer or Government approved Architect to the industry located in the designated areas i.e. Industrial Area, Industrial Estate, Industrial Focal Point, and Industrial Zone which was long standing demand of the Industry , posing great hindrance for the development of the industry. With this exemption the Industry will flourish specially MSME units who dominate the industry.

The Office Bearers submitted the Memorandum to Sh. Ravinder Singh, Chairman PPCB that facility of exemption of SAC approval may also be given to the Mix land Use Areas which feels discriminated for non availability of this facility as the government gets huge amount of revenue from the industry located in these Mix Land Use Areas.

They further requested the chairman to open up voluntary disclosure scheme (VDS) for the industry who are not covered under the Pollution Act without any penalties. This will create confidence in the industry to solve the problem of the Pollution.

The Chairman assured of proper steps at the earliest. After discussing with the other officials and the ministry and assured to give positive response in the few days.
