The undersigned had an opportunity to met Sh. Surjit Singh Rakhra Hon'ble Minister of Rural Development and Panchayat Punjab Today and had a long discussion regarding the Shortage of Labour in the Industry which is the voice of the day.

The Hon'ble Minister of Rural Development and Panchayat Punjab was also worried about the Shortage of the Labour. The undersign suggested that in order to overcome this problem, the youths in the villages which are without any job should be asked to come to Ludhiana and contact the Association for registration their name for the employment in the Association's Employment exchange which will not only leads to redress the difficulty of shortage of Labour but also generate revenue for the state and we will have not to be dependent on the outside labour form Bihar, UP etc. The selected candidates will be given jobs in the industry for which they will be liable .

It has been suggested to the Hon'ble Minister that he should instruct the officers of his department to vide by Publicity in the villages so that the Labour Problem may be mitigated to some extent.

The Hon'ble Minister was kind enough to give patient hearing in this respect and also appreciated the proposal.
