Actress Manisha Koirala has finally won her battle against ovarian cancer. Koirala, who is in New York with her family, including parents, her brother Sidhartha and his wife and child, for her treatment, took to a social networking site to express that she is \"cancer free\" and termed it as her rebirth. Koirala was emotional to hear about her victory over the illness.



\"I burst out crying when I heard that I am cancer free,\" she wrote. The actress also shared that her recovery will be slow and she thanked her fans and family, who have always been by her side. \"I still have a long way to go to regain my health, which will happen slowly and steadily. With the prayers and blessings I received during this phase, I am sure that even that day will come as well. I am also in gratitude for the compassion I saw and felt in so many ways,\" she wrote.



Actress Rituparna Sengupta, who was among the few from the industry (others being Salman Khan and Deepti Naval) to have visited her in New York, during her illness, is happy that she has \'finally recovered\'. \"Manisha has been a very dear friend for a long time. I prayed to God for her recovery and it feels wonderful to have her back. God has been kind. When I was in New York last year, I made it a point to visit her. She was not in the best of health, but she made sure that she sounded very positive,\" she shared. Sengupta will also spend some time with Manisha once she is back in July.
