Abhishek Kapoor has \'Great Expectations\' from Sushant

After the success of \'Kai Po Che\', Abhishek Kapoor has once again put faith on his protege Sushant Singh Rajput and got him on board for his next ambitious project. It is an adaptation of Charles Dickens\' classic \'Great Expectations\' and Sushant will play the protagonist--the orphan Philip Pirrip, better known as Pip. The bildungsroman traces the growth and development of the character.



A source told TOI: \"Both he and Ekta believe that Sushant will be able to reprise the role. The trio had had discussions regarding this.The screenplay is being worked out and the project will take off soon. Rest of the cast will be finalised in the course of time.\"



Abhishek, who had vanished from the social scene after the success of Kai Po Che, was spotted at a special screening of a film on Wednesday. \"Abhishek Kapoor has another film with UTV, however he has simultaneously started working on this project. Post Kai Po Che, he went for a long break where he lost his phone and was disconnected from the world for quite some time. Now he is back,\" the source said.
