The Vice Chancellor of the Punjab Agricultural University, Dr. Baldev Singh Dhillon and the University senior officials, scientists, staff and students expressed their deep grief over the sad demise of Dr. Bhajan Singh, Senior Extension Specialist & Head (Retd.), Department of Soil Science, PAU. Expressing their heartfelt condolences, they prayed for the peace of the departed soul. Dr. Dhillon said that he will be remembered for his humility, wit, intellectual curiosity and for the way he lived his life consistently with principles.

In a condolence meeting held today, Dr. U.S. Sadana, Head, Department of Soil Science, said that Dr. Bhajan Singh served PAU for more than three decades in different capacities before his retirement in March 1996. He is best remembered for his unparalleled field knowledge of soil and water related issues of Punjab state. As an extension specialist, he was often considered as the right man in the right job at the right time. He undertook extension work as a personal cause. His death is a huge loss not only to his family and friends but to PAU as well, he added.
