As per the given time today by the HON'BLE S. SUKHBIR SINGH BADAL, DEPUTY CHIEF MINISTER PUNJAB, a delegation of ALL INDUSTRIES & TRADE FORUM had a meeting with him at Chandigarh. He was apprised of the difficulties being faced by the Industry and a memorandum was submitted enumerating the same. He was very kind enough to give patient hearing about the points put before him one by one as under:

1. REGARDING VAT REFUND:

It was made know to the Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister Punjab that a lot of money in shape of Vat refund is lying pending with the department due to very fiction of 4th Stage which is not justified at all. S. SUKHBIR SINGH BADAL, DEPUTY CHIEF MINISTER PUNJAB assured that this point will be cleared with in a one month, so that amount of Vat refund lying pending with department be refunded.

Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister announced to implement three categories system in which Category - A Status industry will get refund online without verification and Category –B within One Month and Category-C after due verification.



2. REGARDING HIKE IN POWER TARIFF:



HON'BLE S. SUKHBIR SINGH BADAL, DEPUTY CHIEF MINISTER PUNJAB assured that the matter regarding Octori on electricity and Excise duty will be considered very seriously and proper solution will be taken out to give the relief to the consumers. He further assured the un interrupted Power Supply to the Industry as new Power Plants will become operational by the end of the year.



3. PROPERTY TAX :



As regards the property tax, HON'BLE S. SUKHBIR SINGH BADAL, DEPUTY CHIEF MINISTER PUNJAB that within one month a simple formula will be made to calculate this tax and he assured that it will not be more than house tax already being charged.



4. MINIMUM WAGES :



HON'BLE S. SUKHBIR SINGH BADAL, DEPUTY CHIEF MINISTER PUNJAB, instructed the Principal Secretary Sh. Karan Avtar Singh, IAS, Department of Labour, Industries & Commerce Punjab to look in to the matter and assured that the calculation of wages will be done as in past. Bifurcation will be allowed.



5. REGARDING SAC APPROVAL: HON'BLE S. SUKHBIR SINGH BADAL, DEPUTY CHIEF MINISTER PUNJAB, assured that in coming New Industrial Policy 2013, the SAC approval will be abolished.



6. REGARDING MIX LAND USE AREA:

As the master Plan is going to be revised the left area under mix land use will be added after due verification. The Principal Secretary has already visited the Mix Land Use Area.

A committee to be formed comprising of Sh. Ajay Mahajan, Sh. Hira Singh Garbria and Sh. Gurmeet Singh Kular, Convener All Industries & Trade Forum to look into the matter for adding left area's to be included in Mix Land Use Area in the revised Master Plan of Ludhiana.
