PAU TO HOLD THREE-DAY ANNUAL GROUP MEET OF AICRP (NATIONAL SEED PROJECT)

LUDHIANA, APRIL 25:



The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) will be organizing a three–day XXVIII Annual Group Meeting of All India Coordinated Research Project (National Seed Project) from April 27 to 29 in the University campus. The meet will be held under the aegis of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). Dr Swapan Kumar Datta, Deputy Director General (Crop Science), ICAR, New Delhi, will be chief guest while Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon, Vice-Chancellor, PAU, will preside over the inaugural function of the meet. Dr S.S. Gosal, Director of Research, PAU, will deliver the welcome address on this occasion.



Giving details, Dr H.S. Randhawa, Director (Seeds), PAU, informed that more than 250 scientists from across the country are expected to attend the meet. The meet will witness deliberations on seed production enhancement, different techniques for seed quality invigoration, breeder seed production, seed quality assessment using various techniques, and many more, he said.
