PAU STUDENTS GIVE ORAL PRESENTATION FOR DR SUKHDEV SINGH PRIZE

LUDHIANA, APRIL 22:



The students of the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), pursuing Master's programme in any discipline, today gave an oral presentation for "Dr Sukhdev Singh Prize for Essay and Oration 2012-13," at Dr M.S. Randhawa Library.



The students namely Manpreet Kaur (Zoology), Puneet Kaur (Botany), Aakansha Melkani (Economics and Sociology), Manika Aggarwal (Food and Nutrition), Sloney Sachar (Food and Nutrition), and Shubhpreet Brar (Food and Nutrition), expressed their views strongly on the topic "Ethical Issues in Development" and "Role of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Rural Development and Food Security."



The Dean of Postgraduate Studies (PGS), Dr Gursharan Singh said that such initiatives go a long way in boosting the morale and widening the horizons of the students. Informing about the evaluation of the oral presentation, he told that the students will be evaluated on the basis of the presentation, visual aids, discussion, speech, enunciation, general approach, desire to communicate, eye contact with the audience, explanation, and replies to the queries.



Earlier, Dr S.S. Kang, Professor of Plant Pathology, PAU, welcomed the dignitaries, heads, members of the faculty of various departments and the participating students.
