ITBP Jalandhar, SAI Bhopal and PSPCL Patiala enter the Semi Finals of 26th Dashmesh Hawks All India Hockey Festival being played here in Hawks Stadium, Bela Road, Rupnagar. BSF Jalandhar last year's winner is already seeded in semifinal .The highligt of the day was a superb hat trick by Parminder Singh of PSPCL Patiala.



In the quarter final matches played here ITBP Jalandhar beat SRC Ramgarh by 4 goals to 2. SAI Bhopal edged past Punjab Police by a margin of 6 goals to 4 and PSPCL Patiala defeated CISF.

First match between SRC Ramgarh and ITBP Jalandhar was very interesting. The Army teams played vintage hockey resorting to long passes to wings. Attacking the rival defence again & again SRC Ramgarh drew first blood when Baljit Singh scored the first goal in 11 minute to put SRC Ramgarh 1-0 up. ITBP retailed and got the equalizer in 14th minute through Punit Kumar to make the score 1-1. SRC again shot in the lead again in 22nd minute through Baljit Singh who scored his second goal (2-1 infavour of SRC). ITBP again shot through Gagandeep in the 30th minute.Half time score ITBP lead 2- 2. ITBP scored twice through SEERA ACAM (35th minute) and Puneet Kumar (42nd ) minutes to lead 4-2. ITBP hung on the lead despite repeated attacks by SRC forwards ITBP defence stood the ground. ITBP won 4-2.

In the second match, Punjab Police took the lead in the intial stage when Punjab Poilice scored (7th minute) through Varun Kumar. Again Punjab Police scored in ( 11th minute) through Swaranjit to get 2-0 lead. SAI Bhopal reduced the lead through Parveen Kumar ( 18th Minutes) to make it 2-1. SAI Bhopal made efforts to level & succeeded when Ajit Pandit scored in 27th minute. Punjab Police shot in lead through the solo effort of Parabjit Singh (29th minute). In favour of Punjab Police half time 3-2.







Bhopal team again equalized through Ajit Pandit in 41st minutes. (3-3) SAI Bhopal shot in lead in 53rd minute through Dung Dona 4-3 in favour of SAI Bhopal. SAI Bhopal again scored through Lurang ( 58th minute). 5-3 infavour of SAI Bhopal added one more goal through penality corner through Harman who scored with a direct hit in 65th minute (6-3). Punjab Police got an own goal to reduce in the margin in 68th minute. SAI Bhopal carried the day by 6 goals to 4.

In the third match, PSPCL took lead in 8th minute through Ravinder Singh. In the 14th minute one more goal by PSPCL through Parvinder Singh put them in 2-0 lead. CISF reduced the lead in 18th minute through Compal Lakra . 2-1 infavour of PSPCL . PSPCL increased the lead 4-1 when Parminder Singh (28 Minute) and 30th minute scored two more goals in 28th and 30th minute respectively. To score the first hattrick of the tournament Half time score 4-1 infavour of PSPCL, Patiala. CISF scored through Major Singh (56th Minute) to reduce the lead to 4-2. In the 60th minute PSPCL scored their 5th goal through Manbir Singh . CISF got one consolation goal through Compal Lakra (63rd minute) to reduce 5-3. CISF could not level despite earning here short corners in the dying minutes.

Sh.InderMohanSingh,SSP, Sh.Amarjit Singh Satyal President Municipal Council,Sh.V.P.Saini,Sh.S.S.Saini,Sh.Manohar Lal Chopra, Sh.Inder Sain Chhattwal ,Sh.Jagmohan Singh Kahlon ,Sh.harprit Singh were present during the matches.
