Our Hon\'ble Finance Minister S. Parminder Singh Dhindsa, Govt. Of Punjab along with Sh. Karan Avtar Singh, IAS, Principal Secretary, Punjab Department of Labour, Industries & Commerce had been to Ludhiana on 14.3.2013 and had a meeting with the Industrialist at Hero Cycles Ltd to have the knowledge about the difficulties being faced by the Cycle industries.



S. Gurmeet Singh Kular President, United Cycle & Parts Manufacturers Association handed a memorandum to the Our Hon\'ble Finance Minister S. Parminder Singh Dhindsa in which problems like Vat Refund, Sac Approval , Regarding Mix Land Use Areas, Vat on Cycles

Zoning Violation and Regarding Minimum Wages were enumerated in detail.



The Hon\'ble Finance Minister was very kind enough to give patient hearing to our demands especially regarding vat refund which is lying pending with the excise & taxation department for long.



He was also requested that vat on cycle costing less than Rs. 3500/- should be abolished as there is no such vat on bicycle costing less than Rs. 3500/- in Delhi.



Sh. Gurmeet Singh Kular pointed out that the cycle industry which is ignored totally in centre budget for giving any type relief. He further requested to the Hon\'ble Finance Minister S. Parminder Singh Dhindsa that a special package for the cycle industry be given in Punjab State Budget which is going to be presented shortly and cycle industry will remain to Punjab Government.
