Five day training on post harvest concludes at CIPHET

Ludhiana, March 18:



A valedictory function was organized to mark the completion of five day training programme on post harvest technologies for rural catchments for farmers/women entrepreneurs from Punjab at the Central Institute of Post Harvest Engineering and Technology (CIPHET). The programme was sponsored by the NABARD under its Farmers Technology Transfer Fund (FTTF).

CIPHET gives warm send off to Dr Sangeeta Chopra

Ludhiana, March 18:

A farewell function was organized to facilitate Dr Sangeeta Chopra, Senior Scientist, at the Central Institute of Post Harvest Engineering and Technology (CIPHET) on her getting transferred to Directorate of Knowledge Management in Agriculture (DKMA), New Delhi. She joined CIPHET as scientist in year 1998 and served in divisions of Agriculture Structures and Environment Control and was presently posted in Transfer of Technology Division. She has her credit to technologies like low cost evaporative cooled room, ohmic heating and potato enriched cattle feed. Director CIPHET Dr U.S Shivhare appreciated role played by Dr Sangeeta Chopra in research and as well in institution building. Head Transfer of Technology Division Dr Deepak Raj Rai termed her very hardworking and dedicated scientist. Senior members of faculty including Project Coordinator (PHT) Dr S.K Nanda, Project Coordinator (APA) Dr P.R Bhatnagar, Head of Food Grains and Oilseeds Division Dr R.K Gupta, Head of Agriculture Structures and Environment Control Division Dr S.N Jha were also present on the occasion.
