DR. MOHINDER SINGH RANDHAWA MEMORIAL LECTURE ON MARCH 13

LUDHIANA, MARCH 11:-----



Eminent Urdu writer and Ex-Chairman of Pakistan Akademy of Letters, Dr. Abdaal Bela will deliver Dr. M.S.Randhawa Memorial Lecture on March 13, 2013 at 3.00 p.m. in Borlaug Wheat Auditorium. This lecture is being organized by PAU Young Writers Association in collaboration with Punjabi Sahit Akademy, Ludhiana, Senior Citizens Welfare Association, Ludhiana and Adeeb international, Ludhiana. Dr. Kirpal Singh Aulakh, Ex-Vice-Chancellor, PAU will preside over this lecture session. Eminent Punjabi Poet, Dr. Surjit Patar and President, Senior Citizens Welfare Association and Ex-Registrar, PAU, Ludhiana, Mr. S.P.Karkara will be Guests of Honour. While giving this information, Mr. Gurbhajan Singh Gill, Chairman, PAU Young Writers Association said that a writer of about two dozen Urdu books out of which five have been translated into Hindi and one in Punjabi and winner of prestigious awards like, Faiz Ahmed Faiz Award, Adeeb International Award (India) and Nishan-e-Dosti Award (India). Dr. Bela was the natural choice for delivering a lecture in the memory of the multifaceted personality of Dr. M.S.Randhawa. Dr. Sarjit Singh Gill, General Secretary, Senior Citizens Welfare Association said that by continuing his creative and welfare activities even after retirement from active service, Dr. Randhawa proved that advanced age can not prove to be an obstacle in constructive pursuits.
