Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University is going to hold the sixth Annual Book Exhibition on Wednesday, 27th February and will conclude on Thursday, 28th February. Dr. V.K. Taneja, Vice-chancellor, GADVASU, will inaugurate the exhibition on February 27 at 11.00 am in the examination hall of College of Veterinary Science, Dr. R.S Brar the University Librarian, GADVASU informed. The university realizes that thinking and intellect can be developed in students mind with latest books and thus hosting a book fair is the best way to support reading efforts. Students, teachers love Book Fairs as this provide easy access to a wide assortment of books and inspires them to read more.
This year's Book Fair will include a special focus on latest books in field of Veterinary, fisheries, dairy science and technology and biotechnology. The book fair assumes significance in the backdrop of the India thrust on education and human resources development. Dr. Brar revealed that 25 renowned book sellers/ publishers from all over India including New Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Rohtak, Mumbai and Ludhiana shall exhibit books on different disciplines.
