LUDHIANA, FEBRUARY 7:-----
A book of Alumni Poems penned by Late Dr. Jita Ram Bhambota (1921-1994) who had founded the Old Boys Association (now Alumni Association, PAU Ludhiana) in 1951 was released (on 18th death anniversary) by the President-cum-Dean, College of Agriculture, Dr. Devinder Singh Cheema who highlighted the poetry of Dr. Bhambota.
Dr. Gurdev Singh Sandhu, Ex-Professor and Editor of the book informed that the book contains 62 poems recited by Dr. Bhambota in
Alumni Annual Meets from 1951-1994. The poems trace the historical developments of agriculture and the University contributions in popular poetry form. Dr. Sandhu further informed that Dr. Bhambota retired as Director Extension Education from HPKVV, Palampur.
Dr. S.S. Johl, Ex-Vice Chancellor of Punjabi University, Patiala and Punjab Agricultural University, Prof. Hazara Singh (President Ludhiana Chapter), Dr. L.S.Brar, Secretary and Dr. Virinder Bhambota who is presently serving PAU as Associate Professor of Extension Education, son of Dr. Jita Ram Bhambota and number of faculty members and retirees were also present. Dr. V. K. Bhambota thanked the Association for the publication. Books were distributed to the audience of 150 teachers.
