Two day training on soya bean processing concludes at CIPHET

Ludhiana, January 5:



"Central Institute of Post Harvest Engineering and Technology is one of the premier institute for providing training in post harvest sector in north India, farmers and entrepreneurs should take maximum benefit," these remarks were made by the Director CIPHET Dr U.S Shivhare, while distributing certificates to the participants for soya bean processing training concluded here today at the institute campus.



Hoping that the participants would have gained sufficient knowledge for starting venture in soya bean, Dr Shivhare said that that financial institution like NABARD are providing various kinds of loans for small and medium entrepreneurs. "Farmers and entrepreneurs could take benefits of various schemes after getting technical knowledge from the institute," he said, adding that soya bean products are now fast gaining acceptance among masses and there is enough space for new entrants.



Head Transfer of Technology Division Dr Deepak Rai said that in future trainings they would also try to expand soya bean processing training to more number of products. \"If required we will call experts from other institutes of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)," he said, advising that participants to maintain highest quality of their products to win the trust of consumers. Dr O.P Moodan, Technical Official, informed that participants about various training programmes organized by the institute in area of post harvest sector.
