TWO PAU SCIENTISTS BAG AWARDS DURING NATIONAL SEMINAR IN SOLAN

LUDHIANA, DECEMBER 24:



Two scientists of the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) namely Dr R.K. Dhaliwal, Professor-cum-Head, Department of Extension Education, and Dr T.S. Riar, Associate Professor of Extension Education, have been conferred with "Mobilization Fellow Award" and "Farmer's Mobilization Award," respectively. Both the scientists were awarded during the sixth national seminar on "Emerging Chandelles and Paradigm for Sustainable Agri-Rural Development," held at Dr Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan, from December 18-20, 2012.



Dr Dhaliwal was awarded "Mobilization Fellow Award" by the Society for Community Mobilization for Sustainable Development. She also presented a paper on "Agro-Tourism as an Entrepreneurial Venture" which was adjudged as the "Best Paper" in one of the sessions. Dr Dhaliwal alongwith three teachers and five students attended the national seminar.



Dr Riar was awarded "Farmer's Mobilization Award" in recognition of his vital contributions to transfer of technology. Two students also received the "Best Paper Award" in other sessions.
