LUDHIANA, NOVEMBER 1:
The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) is all set to hold four-day "Golden Jubilee Hockey Tournament 2012" from November 2-5 at Prithipal Singh Hockey Stadium of the PAU. Mr Ishwar Singh, Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, will be the chief guest of the inaugural function, which is scheduled to be held on November 2 at 2.30 p.m. Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon, Vice-Chancellor, PAU, will preside over the function.
Giving details, Dr D.S. Cheema, Director Students' Welfare (DSW), informed that the four universities including Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar; Panjab University, Chandigarh; Punjabi University, Patiala; and Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana; will participate in the tournament. He said that the prize distribution ceremony will be held on November 5 during which S. Charanjit Singh, former DSW of PAU and Padma Shri Awardee, will be the chief guest.
