Ludhiana, September 14:
To promote the national language, Central Institute of Post Harvest Engineering and Technology (CIPHET) today initiated Hindi fortnightly celebrations. During this period, a series of programmes would be organized to promote hindi and awards would also be distributed to the winners.
Addressing the participants, Officiating Director CIPHET Dr P.R Bhatnagar, said that there could not be any better medium than Hindi to communicate. He also listed the awards bagged by ICAR faculty at national & regional level in various hindi competitions. Project Coordinator (PHT) Dr S.K Nanda, suggested that for promotion of Hindi special awards and encouragement should be given to scientific publications in Hindi. Head Transfer of Technology Division Dr Deepak Raj Rai said that many progressive nations including France, Japan and China are using their own languages for official communication.
Senior Administrator Officer (SAO) Shri Raj Kumar encouraged staff members to do maximum work in Hindi. Dr Deepika Goswami, coordinated the inaugural session and revealed about the scheduled programmes to be followed in fortnightly celebrations. Assistant Administrative Officer B.C Katoch read out a poem in Hindi on National integration and Shri Avtar Singh proposed a vote of thanks on the occasion.
