Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana Senior Veterinary Parthologist and noted expert Dr. Charan Kamal Singh recently presented a lead paper entitled "Latest advances in approaches of diagnosis of rabies" on the invitation by Indian Association of Veterinary Microbiologists, Immunologists and Specialists in Infectious Diseases at Madras Veterinary College, Chennai. Dr Singh's presentation lead to prolonged healthy discussion and was appreciated by national and inter-national participating scientists. Dr Singh was bestowed with the honour to chair a technical session of this national conference.
Dr Singh has brought laurels to the name of GADVASU at the national level in the field of rabies. Dr Singh has presented lead papers on rabies on invitation by the premier institutions viz. National Institute of Virology, Pune; National Center for Disease Control, New Delhi; Madhya Pradesh Pashu Chikitsa Vigyan Vishav Vidhalaya, Jabalpur, MP; Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Animal Husbandry, Srinagar and College of Veterinary Science, Tirupati.
The professional organizations of long standing and national repute have also invited Dr Singh to present lead papers on rabies. These include Association for Prevention and Control of Rabies in India; Indian Society of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology; Indian Association of Advances in Veterinary Research; Indian Society of Advancement of Canine Practice and Indian Association of Veterinary Pathologists.
At inter-national level, Dr Singh has been invited to OIE HQs, Paris, France to discuss "Epidemiology of Rabeis in Eurasia" and to World Health Organization HQs at Geneva, Switzerland for "Devising Strategies for Control of Rabies in Asia". Dr Singh has also presented lead paper on rabies in inter-national conference at Changsha, China.
