GULZAR GROUP OF INSTITUTES CELEBRATED LITERACY DAY

LUDHIANA (8/09/2012):



The leading engineering college of Punjab, Gulzar Group of Institutes which is known for introducing Automation and Robotics for the first time in North India celebrated International Literacy day on September 7.



This time the premise of the Literacy Day was basic education for all to wipe out poverty, plummeting child transience, curbing population growth, attaining gender equality and ensuring definite sustainable progress.



Some, plays and poems were also executed by the students that deal with the subject of life skills. Through the play they introduced life abilities among youth so that they will augment their persona with formal education system. Presentations were given on the topics like teenage edification & belligerent actions.



GGI Students talk about other important concerns like decision making, empathy, strain management, poignant stability and time management. Empathy was considered as an imperative issue which needs to be taken care by the youth because of their illogical behavior in the society.



Moreover, Students of GGI visited government school of Libra and donated money, books, dictionaries, novels, note books and pens for the benefit of those students who cant afford to buy them.



S. Gurkirat Singh (Executive Director)- appreciated the endless efforts of students and assumed that such kind of programmes should be held on regular basis which lend a hand in enhancing the personality of a students.



"In spite of achieving the foremost landmarks in the direction of literacy, the key goal of literacy for all, including children, youth and adults, remains an unaccomplished objective.\" he added.
