The city traffic police are preparing to start a service for providing immediate help to commuters when their vehicles breakdown on city roads. This service will be available on the already functioning traffic help line on 1073.
Traffic in charge Beant Juneja said this service aims at providing help to people when there vehicles breakdown at odd hours in unfamiliar locations. It would commence within a week, he added. \"All the zonal traffic in-charge have been assigned the work of identifying motor mechanics which are open 24X7 on prominent roads and are ready to work with us on this service,\" said Juneja.
