A three-month training programme on \'Vegetable Cultivation\' began at Punjab Agricultural University, today. The Director of Extension Education, Dr. M.S. Gill, while inaugurating the training programme said that agriculture today has become scientific and a scientific approach is must to earn better income from farming. Coordinator of the Programme, Dr. T.S.Riar informed that 42 young farmers from various districts of Punjab are attending the training programme. They will be apprised with scientific ways of cultivation and plant protection techniques. They will also be imparted knowledge on various farm subsidiary occupations like: bee keeping, poultry farming, mushroom cultivation, etc. informed Dr. Riar.
