PAU HOLDS TRAINING COURSE ON PROCESSING OF HORTICULTURAL PRODUCE

LUDHIANA, AUGUST 28:



A three-day training course on "Storage and processing of horticultural produce," began today at the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). The course, designed specifically for the Agriculture Development Officers (ADOs) and Horticulture Development Officers (HDOs), is being supervised jointly by the PAU Directorate of Extension Education and Training Unit of College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology.





Divulging programme contours, the Director of Extension Education, Dr M.S. Gill said that the PAU subject-matter specialists will apprise the trainees of the agro-processing technologies, amla and honey processing, processing of potatoes for chips making and cleaning, grading and post-harvest management of fruits and vegetables. Besides, the farm experts will dwell upon processing of machinery for turmeric and chilies, processing and storage of fruits and vegetables at small scale level, mushroom and mentha processing and processing of onion and milk with thrust on their related machinery, he informed.
