CONTROL BOARD ON 31-07-2012 AT UCPMA OFFICE.

Respected Sir,



Sir, Industry is going through recession and industrialists are facing acute problems for their survival. In order to facilitate the industry to function smoothly, we have some suggestions which are under your preview.



1. Exemption of site from Site Appraisal Committee (SAC) for all industries in designated and Mix Land Use Areas.



2. Exemption of Building Plans for Consent / NOC from Punjab Pollution Control Board.



3. It is our humble request to declare Voluntary Disclosure Scheme (VDS) for industries who are still not cover under Pollution Act (including Air, Water and Noise). No penalization should be done from the back date. This will help in reducing pollution and people will have confidence in the Government.



4. Industry situated in the Mix Land Use Areas who are the members of JBR and fulfill other non polluting norms should be given consent to operate. They should not be prosecuted.



5. Industrial Forgings / Hammers who create vibration Pollution should be covered under Pollution Act, as excess vibrations damage the adjoining buildings which can be threat to human life.



6. Generators in Mix Land Use Area up to 25 KVA and designated areas up to 62.5 KVA should be exempted from canopies as cost of canopies exceeds the cost of Genset which becomes unviable for Small Entrepreneurs.



7. The Mix Land Use Area should be converted and declared as Industrial Area-D.



We hope that all above suggestions are valid and are favourable for the growth of Industry.
