New Adacemic Session Begins at SCD Government College Ludhiana

New Academic Session begins at SCD Government College Ludhiana with the address of Mrs Gurminder Kaur Principal of the College highlighting the discipline, values, hardwork and structure of academic life in the college. Mrs Gurminder Kaur said that SCD Government College ludhiana is a premier institution of the North India and it is very hard to get admission in this institution. She said that college has a glorious history of producing many stalwarts who not only has contributed many achievements but also proved to be the assets for the nation as a whole. She urge the students to focus on the aim of their life and produce good results in their studies. The first assembly of the students begins with the Shabad recited by the students of Government College for women. Dean Academic affairs of the college Prof. R.K. Miglani highlighted the process of getting the identity cards and warn the students to stay away from ragging and drugs. Prof. D.S Chahal , dean Sports explained the students facilities available for the students in the college and urge them to participate in the games to bring laurels for the nation. Prof. Hardeep Singh explained about the NCC air wing and army wing and its enrolement process. Prof. B.S wadhwa explained to the students about the NSS recruitment process. Dr. Ashwani Bhalla told the PSTEP Programme of the Punjab Government which is offered free of cost for the students of the college in which students are given free training for 180 hours in Information technology , Communication skills, BPO Training and Managerial Skills. He said that enrollment for this programme will be done on the basis of entrance test. Mrs Chandeep Kaur highlighted the \"Satluj Megazine\" and involvement of students. Prof. Surjit Singh Time Table incharge spoke on the Reading Time Table for the classes. The assembly concluded with the remarks of Prof Jai pal singh General Secretary of Punjab Government College Teachers Association who spoke about the role of discipline in one\'s life.
