The Bharat Jan Gyan Vigyan Jatha (BJGVJ) organized environment awareness campaign at the Rose Garden, Civil Lines, Ludhiana. Students of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Public School Haibowal Kalan participated in large numbers in this campaign along with the activists of the jatha. They distributed handbills highlighting the need for preservation of ecology and promotion of healthy environment. They organized corner meetings and appealed to the public to change life style and plant saplings. Prominent among those who participated include Maj. Sher Singh Aulukh – President BJGVJ, Mr.Krishan Lal Malik, Dr.Rajinder Pal Aulukh, S.M.S.Bhatia, Dr.Gurpreet Singh, Mrs.Rajinder Kaur principal of the school, Sh.Pardeep Sharma, S.Amritpal Singh, Ramadhar Singh and teachers and staff of the school.
