POSITIVE ATTITUDE LEADS TO POSITIVE FEELINGS: DR. KAPOOR

LUDHIANA, MARCH 26:-----

\"Change always occur because of positive attitude. Only positive thinking leads to positive attitude\". This was stated by Dr. Narinder Singh Kapoor, former Professor of Journalism & Mass Communication, Punjabi University, Patiala at Punjab Agricultural University today. Dr. Kapoor was here to deliver a special lecture on \"Positive Attitude and Decision Making\", which was organized by the Society for Advancement of academic Sports and Co-curricular activities of college of Basic Sciences and Humanities.

Addressing the large gathering of faculty and students Dr. Kapoor highlighted various aspects of positive attitude and elaborated how positive attitude plays important role in decision making process. He said population consists of two kinds of people, one with positive attitude and other with negative attitude. People with positive attitude are problem solver while those with negative attitude are problem creators. He said that a person who has been deprived of things in his childhood and adolescent age often develops negative attitude. It has nothing to do with the education or financial status of a person. However, some extra ordinary incidents in one\'s life may change attitude from negative to positive. Love is a strange feeling that leads to positive attitude in a person, he said. Highlighting that positive attitude leads to positive and quick decision, Dr. Kapoor said positive people become leaders who have the ability to change the world. They are never afraid of failures in life.

Earlier, Dr. Mann Singh Toor, Secretary, SAASCA welcomed the speaker and guests. Dr. Sheetal Thapar while introducing the speaker told that Dr. Kapoor has served Punjabi University, Patiala in various capacities like: Dean, Students Welfare, Professor & Head, Department of Journalism, Member Syndicate and Member Senate. He has written 32 books and has travelled extensively in US, UK, France, Canada, Mexico, South Arabia, Kuwait and Iraq. Mr. Gurbhajan Singh Gill and Dr. Sarabjit Singh proposed vote of thanks.
