During the two-day Kisan Mela of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) to be held at Ludhiana on March 21-22, farmers will be able to purchase seeds of varieties including PR-118, PR-111, PR-113, PR-114, PR-115, PR-116, Pusa Basmati-1121, Punjab Basmati No.2, Punjab Mehak-1, Basmati-386 of paddy and other varieties of arhar, soybean, fodder bajra FBC-16, fodder Maize J-1006 in addition to improved seeds of vegetable crops. The PAU Director of Extension Education, Dr. M.S.Gill informed that the fruit plants of kinnow, lemon, malta, guava, ber and amla will be sold in addition to seed of turmeric. Further, farm literature will be sold to farmers near the Communication Centre building.
