The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) Department of Vegetable Crops, is organizing a "Protected cultivation show-cum-seminar" on March 26, at village Mushkabad , near here . The PAU Vice Chancellor, Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon will be the Chief Guest while Director of Horticulture, Punjab Dr L.S.Brar will preside over. Giving contours of the program, Dr Iqbal Aujla of the Department stated that this will be the first programme of its kind on cultivation of vegetable crops in net-houses and naturally ventilated small to medium poly-houses. The experts of PAU will impart technical guidance to farmers during the seminar that he said will provide farmers an opportunity to learn about the second generation farm technologies. The vegetable growers of Punjab involved in cultivation of vegetables in the net and poly-houses will be participating, elaborated Dr Aujla adding that the literature on the subject will be distributed free amongst the participants. The programme has been organized in collaboration with Punjab Horticulture Department and Agro Help Aid Societies of Mushkabad and Sahauli , he said.
