Dr Shivhare joins as Director CIPHET

Ludhiana, March 23:



Dr. U. S Shivhare has taken over the charge of Director, Central Institute of Post Harvest Engineering and Technology (CIPHET) here today. He was previously Professor, University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Dr Shivhare has succeeded Dr. R.K Gupta who was officiating Director of CIPHET.



Dr Shivhare is an eminent scientist and did B.Tech, Agricultural Engineering, from JNKVV, Jabalpur. He did his M.Tech, Post Harvest Process and Food Engineering, from GBPUA&T, Pantnagar and Ph.D. (Food Engineering), McGill University. Canada. Dr. Shivhare has also served as faculty in various universities. He is a specialist in the area of thermal processing, rheology, product development etc.
