PAU TO ORGANISE TRAINING FOR YOUNG FARMERS

LUDHIANA, NOVEMBER 21:

The Directorate of Extension Education (DEE) of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) will be organizing a three-month training course on "Integrated Crop Production" for the young farmers. The programme will take place from January 4 - April 3, 2012.



Divulging details, Dr M.S. Gill, Director of Extension Education, PAU, said that the Punjab rural youth (except Gurdaspur and Amritsar districts), in the age group of 20 to 24, with a matriculation examination passed are eligible for this course. He informed that the trainees will be educated about the technical know-how of various agricultural technologies.



The interested candidates can collect the application form from the DEE office. The last date for submitting the form is December 29. The interview will take place on December 30 at Kairon Kisan Ghar at 10.00 a.m. The candidates should bring their matriculation and age proof certificates, said Dr Gill. He told that the selected candidates will have to deposit Rs 500/- as security which will be refunded after the successful completion of the course. The course fee is Rs 300/- whereas lodging charges are Rs 100/- per month, said Dr Gill.
