PAU TO HOLD WORKSHOP ON HORTICULTURAL CROPS IN DECEMBER

LUDHIANA, NOVEMBER 21:-----

The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) will be organizing the "Research and Extension Specialists Workshop for vegetable, fruit and flower crops" on December 8-9 in Dr Borlaug Wheat Auditorium on the university campus. PAU Vice- Chancellor, Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon, will inaugurate the workshop which will have participation of the officers of Department of Horticulture, Punjab and extension functionaries of PAU working at its outstations, Krishi Vigyan Kendras and different departments at the main campus. The PAU subject matter specialists will share their findings on production, protection, postharvest handling, mechanization, marketing, etc of vegetables, fruits and flowers. The event will discuss new recommendations on these crops and gather feed back from the field level functionaries as it helps to reorient research and technology transfer programmes at PAU. The new recommendations on these horticultural crops will be finalized for inclusion in the Package of Practices.
