oday NCC Unit of G.C.W Ludhiana celebrated the NCC day under the supervision of Captain Narinderjit Kaur.

Today NCC Unit of G.C.W Ludhiana celebrated the NCC day under the supervision of Captain Narinderjit Kaur. Cornal S. Sehgal Commanding Officer of Girls Batallian Ludhiana was the Chief Guest. He hosted the NCC flag to mark NCC day. Mrs. Gurminder Kaur College Principal welcomed the Chief Guest. Mr. Sehgal appreciated the efforts of NCC Unit GCW, Ludhiana He said that , ? NCC has been given very important place in most of the countries. It is a second line of defence for the nation. NCC played important role in the wars of 1962, 1965 and 1971.? The cadets took an oath of ?Anti dowry? to mark NCC day. NCC president Senior Under Officer Mary Gharu lead the students for the rally. It started from the college gate No.2 and ended before the Guru Nanak Stadium Ludhiana. The slogans like ?Anti dowry? and ?National Unity? were raised by the Cadets.

N.S.S. Unit of the college under the supervision of Dr. Manju Sahni also participated in the rally.NSS Unit also celebrated ?Communal Harmony Day?. Mrs. Gurminder Kaur was the Chief guest on the occasion. She was welcomed by Mrs. Manju Sahni, Miss Sharanjit Kaur and Mrs. Jaspreet Kaur. In college hall Paper-reading, Eassy Writing and Poster Making competition were also held. Mrs. Ramesh Inderpal also delivered a lecturer on Communal Harmony. She said that ?For the economic and Sociasl development of the nation Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs and Christian should be united. We should unite for the economic development of the Nation?. The following are the results of today?s competition:

2 Poster Making

First: Harpreet Kaur B.Sc. I, Second: Manpreet Kaur B.Sc. I, Third: Devika B.sc. II



On the occasion , Vice Principal Mrs. Sudarshan Mehta, Ms.Surinder Gill, Prof. Kuldip Singh,Prof. Krishan Singh, Dr.Mohinder Kaur Grewal, Mrs. Sukhwinder Kaur, Dr. Rakesh Kumar and Mrs. Rosy Sapra were also present. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs. Jaspreet Kaur.
