deputation of the Association of the Punjab School Education Board, Affiliated Schools, Punjab

A deputation of the Association of the Punjab School Education Board, Affiliated Schools, Punjab (Regd.) met Hon'ble Sewa Singh Sekhwan, Education Minister, Punjab Government, Chandigarh, under the Presidentship of Sh. Rajinder Sharma, along with Sh. I. M. Dutta, Sh. S. S. Sandu, Sh. K. K Choudhary, Sh. N.K. Bangia, Chief patron of the association and others representatives from the various distt. of the state and put the difficulties confronted by the affiliated schools before him.

On this occasion Mr. Rajinder Sharma & others requested the Hon'ble Minister to implement the agenda of upgradation of the affiliated school which has been passed in the meeting held on 26.07.2011 with the Hon'ble Minister & Board authorities.

The Hon'ble Education Minister listened to the delegation and assured them to take due action to implement the agenda of upgradation of the affiliated schools with immediate effect. He said that those school will clear the conditions of the Punjab School Education Board for upgradation will be upgraded with immediate effect.

All the members of the delegation heartily thanked the Hon'ble Education Minister. The delegation also thanked the Punjab Govt. & Master Mohan Lal, Former Transport Minister, Punjab for decreasing the Road Tax imposed on the buses of the affiliated school.

Mr. Rajinder Sharma said that deputation had also gave the memorandum to Hon'ble Heera Singh Gabhria, Jail Minister, Punjab regarding the commercial rate of electricity imposed on the affiliated schools & Sh. Tikshan Sood, Local Bodies Minister, Punjab regarding the water & sewerage charges, and the worthy ministers has assured them to put their problem before the Hon'ble Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister, Punjab to sort out the solution.

Mr. I. M. Dutta & Sh. S. S. Sandu said that affiliated schools of the state have played a prominent role in the development of the state. The affiliated schools strive to serve the society to eliminate illiteracy. It may be mentioned that these schools do not get any grant or aid from the govt. and all the schools are independently serving the nation.

Sh. N.K. Bangia said that these affiliated schools are sharing the burden of govt. by providing quality education to the lacs of the students in the state and employment to the large number of educated people.

The worthy Minister gave a patient hearing and assured the delegation to solve the problem of the affiliated schools. The prominent members present on the occasion were : S. Kuljeet Singh, S. Jagmohan Singh , Sh. Ravinandan Sharma, Sh. Pankaj Sharma, Smt. Santosh Choudhary etc.
